Canada's Green Pea Exports Post Strong Performance
PANAMA - Feb 5/21 - SNS -- At this point in the marketing year posted a better result, with green pea exports from Canada posted decent increases, moving relative to the previous month in December, judging from recent statistics from Statistics Canada.
Export sales reached 18,559 metric tons (MT) during the month, up 17% from the 15,916 MT shipped the previous month. Shipments so far total 99,607 MT, compared to 125,014 during the last marketing year.
United Arab Emirates was the number one importer during the month, taking 6,751 MT. China was the second most important buyer taking 4,036 MT, followed by Egypt at 1,777 MT.
