Yellow Pea Exports From Canada Continue Firm Performance
PANAMA - Feb 5/21 - SNS -- Export shipments of yellow peas for Canada leapt versus the previous month in December, trade data from Statistics Canada reveals.
Export sales during the month totalled 270,147 metric tons (MT), up from 162,579 MT the prior month. This lifted exports so far during the marketing year to 1,611,099, up 10% last year.
China was the biggest buyer, receiving 245,054 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important buyer receiving 21,500 MT, followed by Indonesia at 1,220 MT.
