Moderate Strength in Dry Beans

PANAMA - Oct 30/20 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets were moderately firmer during the past week on expectations of continued strong demand from Mexico and a possible improvement in Brazilian import needs.

This was reflected in the dry edible bean price index for that country, which finished the week 0.8 points higher at 72.

The global pulse price index advanced 1.3 points on the week to close at 79.9, while the Canadian index rose 1.1 to 76.7 points on continued strength in lentils.
