Canada's Field Pea Exports Continue Weak Trend
PANAMA - Oct 6/20 - SNS -- Canada's exports of field peas in August posted significant declines, slumping compared to the previous month, judging from data from Statistics Canada.
Exports during the month totalled 91,796 metric tons (MT), down from 172,155 MT the previous month. This increased movement so far during the marketing year to 91,796, down 19% last year.
China was the top buyer during the month, taking 45,428 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important consumer buying 17,081 MT, followed by Colombia at 4,934 MT.
