Green Pea Exports From Canada Reveal Weak Month
PANAMA - Oct 6/20 - SNS -- At this point in this marketing year revealed a easier performance, with green pea export shipments from Canada were slightly lower, falling compared to the previous month in August, according to the most recent statistics from Statistics Canada.
Exports for the month totalled 16,791 metric tons (MT), down from 20,286 MT the prior month. This increased export sales so far during the marketing year to 16,791, up 144% last year.
India was the largest buyer, receiving 4,301 MT. Colombia was the second most important buyer buying 3,531 MT, followed by China at 2,460 MT.
