Yellow Pea Exports From Canada Continue Soft Tone
PANAMA - Oct 6/20 - SNS -- So far during the marketing year kept up a softer trend, with yellow pea movement from Canada fell relative to the previous month in August, according to the most recent statistics from Statistics Canada.
Shipments reached 49,832 metric tons (MT) in the month, down 60% from the 123,923 MT shipped the previous month. Shipments so far total 49,832 MT, compared to 93,244 during the previous marketing year.
China was the biggest importer during the month, buying 29,124 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important importer buying 16,977 MT, followed by Colombia at 1,153 MT.
