Dry Beans Searching For Right Price

PANAMA - Oct 2/20 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets maintained their mixed tone through the past week while pulses in general strengthened on improved short term demand from the Indian subcontinent and other regions.

This was reflected in the spot index for dry edible beans in the United States, which slipped 0.2 points on the week to close at 72.4 as this year's harvest gains pace.

By contrast, the global pulse price index jumped 2.1 points to close at 77.9, while the Canadian pulse prices index rose 1.8 points to finish at 75.2.
