Bean Buyer and Sellers Watchful

PANAMA - Jun 19/20 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets were unchanged to slightly firmer, with both sellers and buyers waiting for a better idea of this year's yields and quality before adding to their new crop books.

This was reflected in the spot index for dry edible beans in the United States, which inched up 0.3 points on the week to close at 168.6.

The global pulse index gained 0.7 points to finish the week at 152.4, helped by modest firmness in both large chickpeas and North American dry edible bean markets. On the other hand, the Canadian pulse prices index rose 0.4 points on the week to finish at 151.9.
