Canada's Green Pea Exports Post A Improved Performance
PANAMA - Mar 6/20 - SNS -- Shipments of green peas from Canada saw minorimprovement, rising compared to the previous month in January, recent data from Statistics Canada reveals.
Movement for the first month of the marketing year totalled 32,035 metric tons (MT), up 2% from 31,473 MT the previous month. The data showed movement is down 7% from the 169,025 MT recorded for the same month last year.
The top consumer for the month was China, taking 11,473 MT. India was the second most important buyer buying 6,809 MT, followed by Nepal at 5,890 MT.
