Field Pea Exports From Canada Maintain Firm Trend
PANAMA - Feb 5/20 - SNS -- Export shipments of field peas for Canada rose slightly relative to the previous month in December, the latest data from Statistics Canada reveals.
Exports totalled 346,846 metric tons (MT) in the month, up 7% from the 323,900 MT shipped the previous month. Movement so far total 1,740,554 MT, versus 1,378,813 during the previous marketing year.
Bangladesh was the number one destination for the month, receiving 122,058 MT. China was the second most important buyer buying 98,415 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 41,613 MT.
