Field Pea Imports By China Maintain Firm Tone
PANAMA - Jan 13/20 - SNS -- At this point in the current calendar year are maintaining a stronger tone, with field pea imports for China rocketed compared to the previous month in November, according to the most recent statistics from General Customs Administration of China.
Imports for the month reached 390,886 metric tons (MT), up from 237,879 MT the previous month. This lifted imports so far during the calendar year to 1,933,627, up 2% last year.
The most recent movement data reported Canada was number one supplier, shipping 387,126 MT. United States was the second most important shipper supplying 3,301 MT, followed by United Kingdom at 285 MT.
