Canada's Field Pea Exports Record Weak Month
PANAMA - Dec 5/19 - SNS -- So far during the current marketing year revealed a weaker month, with field pea movement for Canada sank relative to the previous month in October, according to official trade statistics from Statistics Canada.
Export sales reached 400,878 metric tons (MT) for the month, down 28% from the 555,099 MT exported the previous month. Exports so far total 1,069,591 MT, versus 872,245 during the last marketing year.
China was the biggest importer during the month, receiving 222,622 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important importer taking 50,754 MT, followed by India at 41,034 MT.
