Dry Beans Strengthen
PANAMA - Oct 18/19 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets finished the week's trading on a firm note against tightening supplies of high quality product on world markets.
This was clearly reflected in inter-dealer markets in the United States, with the result its spot index for dry edible beans jumped 2.8 points on the week to close at 120.4.
The Canadian pulse prices index rose 1.3 points on the week against relatively tight supplies of top grade green lentils and green peas to close at 126.1, while the global index advanced 2.5 points to 136.3.
