Kidney Bean Exports From Canada Start On Firm Tone
PANAMA - Mar 27/19 - SNS -- Canada's movement of kidney beans in January made modest gains, advancing versus the previous month, judging from data from Statistics Canada.
The updated statistics showed shipments for the month totalled 9,976 metric tons (MT), up 3% from 9,709 the previous month. Compared to the same month last year, export sales are up 13% from 56,430 MT.
Since the beginning of the marketing year, clearances have been up versus the last five year average. Thus far, 63,755 MT have been shipped, up 2% from the recent average of 62,355.
