Strong Start to French Export Campaign
PARIS - Seo 12/16 - SNS -- France's field pea exports started the 2016-17 marketing year on a strong note, with shipments almost double those posted in June, according to data compiled by Terres Univia.
Export shipments during July totalled 48,360 metric tons (MT), up 97% from the 24,575 MT shipped the previous month, and up 41% from the 34,215 MT shipped the same month last year.
The jump in year over year shipments reflects strong movement to India, which has took 36,282 MT of peas during the opening month of France's 2016-17 marketing campaign.
