Smaller 2015 Prune Crop Seen

WASHINGTON - Jun 10/15 - SNS -- California's 2015 prune production forecast is 100,000 dried tons, down 4% from the revised 104,000 tons produced in 2014, according to the USDA's latest crop production estimates for 2015.

Growers reported this year's set appears to be very good and harvest is expected to begin around the middle of August.
