Bulk Pea Exports Ease in February

VANCOUVER - Mar 25/15 - SNS -- Canadian bulk field pea exports dropped in February, with unofficial data from the Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) showing port clearances were down 31% from the previous but up 32% from the same month last year.

Unofficial data suggests almost 101,300 metric tons (MT) of peas were loaded to bulk conventional vessels from licensed terminals and directly primary elevators in February, compared to 77,000 MT the same month last year and 145,900 the previous month.

Bulk conventional port clearances experienced month over month declines since peaking at 559,400 MT in September. Clearances dropped to a low of 110,500 MT in December.
