U.S. National Weekly Rice Summary

LITTLE ROCK - Jul 7/14 - SNS -- The latest weekly rice market summary for the United States was released by the USDA today.

                       National Weekly Rice Summary
                 (Arkansas-Louisiana-Texas-California)
                             Domestic Trend
   In the south, long and medium grain rice prices steady; parboiled prices
steady; second heads steady; brewers steady.  Rice by-products:  rice bran
prices steady; rice millfeed not fully established; hulls steady on a limited
test.  Rough rice old crop prices remain steady on limited available current
sales.
   In California, medium and short grain milled rice prices steady; second heads
and brewers steady.  Rice by-products:  rice bran prices steady; hulls steady.
   Very little happening in the rice industry this shortened holiday week.  Hope
everyone had a safe 4th of July weekend.  On the CME Rough Rice settlements for
Thursday July 3rd, July 2014 closed .11 lower at 14.55.  September 2014 closed
.11 lower at 13.58.  November 2014 closed .095 lower at 13.79.  US dollar index
on Wednesday Jul 2nd settled at 79.94.
