Smaller Sugarbeet Crop in Offing

WASHINGTON - Jun 30/14 - SNS -- Area planted to sugarbeets for the 2014 crop year is estimated at 1.16 million acres, down 3% from last year, according to the USDA's seeded area report for 2014.

Harvested area is forecast at 1.13 million acres, down 2% from 2013.
