Demand, Crop Worries Support Beans

VANCOUVER - Jun 14/13 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets finished the week's trading on a strong note against optimism over the demand potential for the commodity in the face of smaller crops in North America and Latin America.

This was reflected in the U.S. spot market index for dry edible beans, which finished the week up 76 points at 1407.

The grower index was also higher on the week, rising 60 points to finish at 1288.

Production problems in Latin America are not limited to Argentina.
