Little Change in Edible Beans

VANCOUVER - Nov 30/12 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets were unchanged to slightly firmer as offers from origin sellers remain slightly behind the short term needs of end user buyers.

This was reflected in the spot price index for U.S. beans, which gained three points on the week to finish at 1311. By contrast, the grower bid index was unchanged on the week, finishing at 1231.

Markets for larger caliber white beans maintained their recent strength because of limited availability of good quality product from Argentina.
