Few Changes in Edible Beans

VANCOUVER - Nov 24/12 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets were little changed in holiday shortened trading during the past week.

At the same time, Thanksgiving Day celebrations in the United States mark the beginning of the Christmas and New Year's holiday period.

Business normally slows at this time of year as traders become more interested in seasonal celebrations with friends and family.

This was reflected in the spot price index for U.S. beans, which slipped two points on the week to finish at 1308. By contrast, the grower bid index advanced seven points to finish at 1231.
