South African Bean Crop Unchanged

PRETORIA - Jun 26/12 - SNS -- South Africa's dry edible bean crop estimate was left unchanged in the country's latest summer crop forecast for the 2011-12 season, while this year's soybean, groundnut and sorghum harvests are expected to be smaller than first thought.

The South Africa Grain Information Service (SAGIS) still expected a 47,695 metric ton (MT) edible bean harvest. While up from last year, it remains below the recent five-year average of 51,957 MT, maintaining the recent downward trend in output.
