Myanmar's Pulse Imports Rise in December

WASHINGTON - Feb 6/12 - SNS -- Pulse exports from Myanmar improved in December, rising above month earlier, though dropping below year earlier levels.

Shipments to all destinations finished December at 72,855 metric tons (MT), down 38% from the same month in 2010.

Toor whole accounted for 45% of the total exports, followed by Matpe (black gram) 31%, and mung bean 21%.

India remained the most significant buyer of Myanmar's pulses, though the proportion shipped to that country is down from previous years.
