Mixed Week for Beans
VANCOUVER - Nov 26/11 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets finished the week's trading on a mixed note, though with a firm undertone on account of limited export selling interest for some classes of beans.
At the same time, North American exporters and processors remain on the defensive, trying hard to ensure they neither accumulate long positions from growers or end up shorting end users.
This was reflected in the spot market index for U.S. origin beans, which gained 15 points on the week to finish at 1696, while the grower index slipped one point to 1556.
