World Bean Prices Advancing

VANCOUVER - Nov 19/11 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets finished the week's trading on a generally firmer note, with most exporters maintaining or raising asking prices.

Even so, North American origin product remains uncompetitive with beans from other origins, with the result that industry is now largely focussed on North American domestic demand.

While higher trading levels ration demand, end user buying is also being affected by currency and economic uncertainty in the Euro zone and elsewhere.
