Birdseeds Remain Volatile
VANCOUVER - Mar 18/11 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets posted another mixed week on North American markets, with Canadian markets influenced by limited end user buying interest.
By contrast, thinking in U.S. markets is dominated by volatility in grains and oilseeds because of the need to keep prices directly competitive with futures traded crops.
Markets started the week being battered lower by uncertainty over the impact of Japan's earthquake, tsunami and damaged nuclear reactors in Fukushima.
