Beans Maintain Firm Tone
VANCOUVER - Mar 6/11 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets maintained their firm ton through the past week against ongoing buying by Brazilian importers covering the gap until their next harvest.
This has seen buyers pick over the remnants of Argentina's black bean crop, while also buying substantial tonnages of black beans from China.
Markets are also concerned with the need to deliver competitive returns to farmers to prevent acreage from collapsing this year.
