WASHINGTON - Aug 11/23 - SNS -- Production of sugarbeets for the 2023 crop year is forecast at 34.4 million tons, up 5% from 2022, according to the USDA.
Producers expect to harvest 1.11 million acres, down 2% from the last year. Yield is forecast at 30.9 tons per acre, up 2.3 tons from last year.
