Mixed Week in Dry Beans

PANAMA - Apr 23/21 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets registered a mixed performance during the past week, suggesting short term demand is having a greater impact on values than underlying old crop fundamentals.

As a result, the dry edible bean price index for the United States slipped 0.5 points on the week to finish at 87.9.

By contrast, the global pulse price index lost 1.0 points to close at 87.7 while the Canadian index managed a one point gain to finish at 88.8 points.
