Kidney Bean Imports By Brazil Start On Strong Tone

PANAMA - Apr 14/19 - SNS -- Imports of kidney beans by Brazil were up sharply, leaping relative to the previous month in January, the most recent data from Scavage, Foreign Trade Statistics shows.

The latest statistics showed imports for the month totalled 14,849 metric tons (MT), up 83% from 8,116 the previous month. Versus the same month last year, imports were up 175% from 5,407 MT.

Argentina was the number one supplier during the month, supplying 13,524 MT. Bolivia was the second most important origin shipping 1,321 MT, followed by United States at 4 MT.
