Peas Transitioning Into New Crop

PANAMA - Jul 17/16 - SNS -- The transition from old to new crop pricing is advancing more rapidly in field pea markets against the pending availability of new crop product in Europe and parts of the United States.

Canada's crops are also developing rapidly, raising hopes that if weather conditions are relatively dry and warm over the coming two months, the country will be well positioned to meet opening season shipping commitments.

Even so, there is an underlying concern about whether or not Canadian railways are ready to handle the pending crop, with many market participants expecting near record production of all grains, oilseeds and pulses.
