Weather Worries Help Firm Beans

PANAMA - Jun 4/16 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets maintained their firm tone through the past week.

This was reflected in the U.S. spot index for beans, which finished the week unchanged at 154 points.

Strength in dry edible beans was partly offset by easing values in other pulse categories, with the result the world pulse price index dropped 2.5 points to finish at 245.6. At the same time, the Canadian index dropped 2.1 points to close at 242.5.
