March Slump For French Pea Sales
PARIS - May 11/16 - SNS -- Field pea exports from France sank in March against tightening domestic inventroies, according to data compiled by Terres Univia.
Export shipments during the month totalled 13,605 metric tons (MT), down sharply from the 52,270 MT shipped the previous month, and down 21% from the 17,115 MT shipped the same month last year.
This kept season to date shipments well above last season, with clearances jumping from 100,000 to 235,275 MT for the nine months spanning July through March.
