Selling Lags Buying In Beans

PANAMA - Mar 19/16 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets maintained their firmer undertone during the past week, with offers from exporters lagging just behind short term buying interest.

North American prices had a firmer undertone on the week, despite news Mexico was opening up bean imports to non-NAFTA origins. This saw the index for U.S. beans inch up 0.1 points to finished the week at 142.8.

By contrast, the world pulse price index rose 1.98 points to finish at 224.8; while the Canadian index gained 3.8 points to close at 227.7.
