Steady Movement Supports Peas
VANCOUVER - Jan 30/15 - SNS -- North American field pea markets were unchanged to slightly easier against relatively good movement of product into port positions to meet outstanding sales commitments.
The continued strength of the U.S. dollar versus other currencies made it easier for Canadian exporters to maintain asking prices, while raising grower bids.
Markets are also keen to see the contents of next week's December 31 stocks in all positions report from Statistics Canada.
