Easier Tone in World Bean Markets

VANCOUVER - Oct 11/14 - SNS -- Dry edible bean prices finished the week on an easier note in both international and North American markets.

This was reflected in a 5.3% drop in the spot market index for U.S. beans to 136.74 points, while the world export pulse index slipped 1.3 points to 163.5 on the week.

Excellent harvest progress in the United States has increased the supply of product available to processors.
