Canada's Pea Exports Falter in January
VANCOUVER - Feb 24/14 - SNS -- The Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) reports 101,951 metric tons (MT) field pea were exported through licensed terminal facilities which are required to report to it all grain movement in January.
The CGC data does not include exports in containers or from non-reporting terminals.
The CGC reports exports are down from the 137,100 MT shipped the same month last year and down from the 187,087 MT shipped the previous month.
This lifted season to date exports to 1,060,405 MT since the August start of the current marketing year, versus 909,600 MT during the same period last season.
