VANCOUVER - Feb 1/14 - SNS -- Field pea markets finished the week on a slightly easier note, with exporters trying to use the decline in the value of the Canadian dollar to attract buying interest.
There is a general reluctance to short the grower on substantial quantities of yellow or green peas.
The February 4 stocks in all position report for December 31 could be more important to market tone than usual, with market participants looking to see if inferred usage is above the previous five year average of 40% of the available supply.
