Mixed Finish in Edible Beans
VANCOUVER - Oct 25/13 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets ended the week on a mixed note as market for white and colored beans tended to move in opposite directions.
White bean markets remain strong because of shortages of large caliber product and the inability of Chinese exporters to meet all their sales commitments.
In contrast to white beans, Chinese exporters lowered asking prices for black beans during the week as Brazilian buyers showed little interest in adding to their positions until after next year's Argentine harvest.
