VANCOUVER - Oct 19/13 - SNS -- The world's dry edible bean markets maintained their firm tone during the past week, despite the emergence of harvest selling pressure in some classes of beans in North America.
White beans continue to lead markets on account of the failure of Argentina's white alubia bean crop earlier in the year.
Hopes China would bridge the gap have met with disappointment because of wet growing conditions.
