Crop Worries Help Beans

VANCOUVER - Oct 12/13 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets were mainly unchanged during the past week against ongoing worries about the quantity of beans China will have available for export through the end of the year.

North American markets were helped by underlying concerns about crops in Mexico and the possibility import needs will be higher than currently thought.

Higher asking prices for Chinese beans was also helpful to North American inter-dealer markets.
