Green Pea Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/13 - STAT -- Canadian Green Pea markets finished the 2012-13 marketing year with prices offered to growers rocketing 37% above the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for Green Pea was CDN$530.41 per metric ton (MT), compared to an average annual bid of $386.17 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $643.01 per MT in May, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $385.81 per MT in August.
