Large Yellow Pea Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/13 - STAT -- Canadian Large Yellow Pea markets finished the 2012-13 marketing year with prices offered to growers leaping 9% above the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for Large Yellow Pea was CDN$332.67 per metric ton (MT), compared to an average annual bid of $303.82 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $362.84 per MT in June, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $318.75 per MT in September.
