Weather Worries Stall Beans

VANCOUVER - Apr 6/13 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets remained relatively quiet during the past week, with exporters in Argentina withdrawn, while Chinese and North American shippers remaining slightly defensive in their pricing.

This made it easier for markets to hold, as reflected in the spot price index for U.S. beans, which was down four points on the week to finish at 1304.

The grower prices index for U.S. origin beans was unchanged on the week, closing at 1227.
