Pea Export Movement Jumped in August
VANCOUVER - Sep 29/12 - SNS -- The Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) reports 150,600 metric tons (MT) field pea were exported through licensed terminal facilities which are required to report to it all grain movement in August. The CGC data does not include exports in containers or from non-reporting terminals.
The CGC reports exports are up from the 110,700 MT shipped the same month last year and up from the 57,400 MT shipped the previous month.
The 2011-12 marketing year finished with 1,605,800 MT of peas have been exported through terminals reporting to the CGC, versus 2,461,100 MT the previous season.
