Peas Support By Ending Stocks Data
VANCOUVER - Sep 8/12 - SNS -- International field pea markets received some support from the ending stocks report released by Statistics Canada at week's end.
Though stocks were 56,000 metric tons (MT) higher than expected at 276,000, they were at a level which meant that many processors would have had faced extreme difficulty originating material until their regional harvest got underway.
More importantly, stocks are at a level which mean that Canada will essentially only be able to sell what it grows this year during the 2012-13 marketing year.
