Sluggish Tone in Peas

VANCOUVER - Dec 9/11 - SNS -- Field pea markets maintained their sluggish tone through the past week, with little fresh fundamental news improving the mood of buyers or sellers.

The slowing pace of seeding this year's rabi or winter season pulse crop in India was viewed positively by exporters.

While farmers in that country were quick to start seeding pulses, they have not maintained their enthusiasm, with the result overall progress is little changed from this time last year.
