Pea Export Movement Remains Slow in November

VANCOUVER - Dec 2/11 - SNS -- Bulk conventional exports of pulses and other specialty crops from Canada continued to slow in November, with total shipments down 19% from the previous month, though up 13% from the same month last year.

During the month, exporters loaded five ships at Vancouver with 154,900 metric tons (MT) of peas; and one ship at Vancouver with 36,751 MT of soybeans.

Looking forward, there is a good chance movement will be down from last year in December. There are currently four vessels nominated to lift peas and two ships nominated to lift lentils from Vancouver this month.
