Peas Firm on Good Movement
VANCOUVER - May 21/11 - SNS -- Better than expected movement of field peas from Canada this month and additional vessel nominations helped boost asking prices on world markets for the commodity.
Another vessel was nominated to load peas at Vancouver during the week, helping pull actual prospective bulk conventional field pea movement for the month to almost 245,000 metric tons (MT).
If ships do not slide into June, this could be the best May on record for Canadian bulk pea export movement.
